Trip to Boone

For Marie's Birthday Weekend we all went to Boone, NC. Marie's parents rented a cabin for us to take over. We had a great time! Here is a recap of our trip.

"The kids"

We put together a puzzle during the trip... but we're still trying to figure out where Jeff hid the last piece.
Taylor helped with the puzzle as well
Saturday we went to Grandfather Mountain in NC. This is home to the mile-high bridge, which we all successfully crossed. Amy even went across it and did a great job. The leaves were turning at just the right time and we gathered a bunch of great pictures.
Marie and I near the ledge.
Family photo. Trevor thought it would be fun to try and jump from ledge to ledge. Amy did not find that funny.
The happy couple again
and again!
Saturday night we visited the GameKeeper Restaurant in Boone. The menu had Pheasant, Duck, Ostrich, and other wild animals. High marks from this group.

In the evening Jeff started a camp-fire and we all sat around it. Taylor didn't bring his jacket, so I let him share mine. Believe it or not, he loved this and stayed in there the whole time.
What? You don't do this with your dog?

The ride home from Boone. Taylor is very excited to go back!

Honeymoon!

We're back!

Sorry for the long hiatus from blogging. First is was the wedding, then the honeymoon, then the LOST season finale, then we moved. It's been a busy time in our life. Alright, enough excuses, time to talk about our honeymoon.

As predicted, it was ridiculously awesome. We went to St. Lucia and stayed at Calabash Cove. CC was a smaller resort on the island and only had 26 rooms to it. Marie and I had a cottage that was surrounded by rainforest-like plants and was mere footsteps away from the ocean. The staff and people we met on the island were all incredibly nice.

We woke up in the mornings and got breakfast, then lounged around our private pool for a bit before heading up to the main pool/swim up bar for some fun in the sun. After some lunch at the swim-up bar we'd have a few cocktails then head back for an afternoon nap. During the evening we either went up and had dinner at the restaurant or ordered room service. Either way - everything was very relaxing.

We took a helicopter from the airport

This was the cottage we stayed in.

This is us in the pool. We spent a lot of time there.

We also had a sunset couples massage.

Yet another sunset event. A cruise on a pirate ship.

And a picture of us at.... you guessed it, sunset.

Weekend in IN

We went back to Indiana this last weekend. It was great to be home and get some wedding planning out of the way. It's getting close people, 8 weeks from Saturday.
I had my first bridal shower on Friday night. It was put together by my beautiful aunts
shown below along with my mom. Thanks Ladies!!

Eleanor and Evelyn are always excited to be apart of wedding parties.

Saturday we celebrated Parker's 1st birthday. Its amazing how fast this last year has gone.
This little buddy is so special to us!

I love how he has that "What are you lookin at Aunt Maree, this is MY cake!"

Sunday morning we had a meeting at the Conrad to go over some details of our special day. Jay handled it like a trooper. I, on the other hand was a grouchy mess, too many questions all at once. Wedding planning ugh!
